STRATEGIC PROJECTS

Visions, method and collaboration: this is how we build the Garda Trentino of tomorrow.

NOTHING HAPPENS BY CHANCE...

Every project we develop is the result of a coherent journey, built over time and guided by a clear vision for the destination.

Our work takes shape starting from the Stay Young positioning, which defined the identity of Garda Trentino as a dynamic, active and contemporary place. Over the years, this path has evolved and strengthened through an increasingly structured commitment to sustainability, understood not as an end in itself, but as a working method and a transversal criterion guiding our choices.

We are a destination aware of both its value and its responsibilities. For this reason, every project is designed by balancing multiple dimensions: the holiday experience of our guests, the quality of life of those who live and work here, and the conditions necessary to do business in a balanced and long-lasting way.

At the heart of our approach lies participatory planning. We work in close collaboration with institutions, stakeholders, associations and local communities because we believe the most effective solutions emerge through dialogue, listening and the sharing of objectives.

As just one example, during 2025 we organised more than 80 meetings of this kind and engaged with over 500 stakeholders through presentations and local meetings across the territory.

This section tells the story of our approach to strategy: not a collection of isolated initiatives, but a system of coherent, measurable and long-term actions.

THE DESTINATION POSITIONING

Stay Young

It defines who we are, who we speak to and how we want to be recognised. The positioning guides every project and communication choice, ensuring consistency between identity, offer and destination storytelling.

Discover why we truly aim to become the European best practice for an active, healthy, stimulating lifestyle that keeps people feeling young all year round.

THE STORY BEHIND OUR POSITIONING
SUSTAINABILITY
A concrete commitment running through all our activities

From governance to visitor flow management, we work towards a tourism development model that is conscious, measurable and responsible, benefiting both the territory and the local community.

We chose to adopt the international criteria of the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC), obtaining certification as a sustainable destination.

Along this journey, we also involved local stakeholders by supporting a first group of accommodation facilities through an evaluation and improvement process that led them to achieve GSTC certification as well.

MOBILITY
Services and solutions for better everyday mobility

Moving better means living better. Together with local administrations, we promote and support alternative mobility solutions and concrete services aimed at reducing traffic impact, improving the experience of guests and residents, and making the territory more accessible.

LOCAL DEVELOPMENT, IN NETWORK WITH THE TERRITORY

ATA Projects

Collaboration with the Territorial Area Agencies (ATA) is a strategic tool that allows us to operate on a broader scale in a coordinated and effective way.

Thanks to this network, we can address complex topics through a scientific and structured approach, involving different skills and generating projects capable of creating value not only for tourism, but also for sectors such as agriculture, culture, environment and local services.

GO TO CURRENT AND COMPLETED PROJECTS
outdoor park garda trentino
A shared project for quality, safety and environmental protection

It is the system coordinating the management and maintenance of the territory’s main outdoor infrastructures: trails, via ferratas, climbing crags and mountain bike routes.

Created through collaboration between public authorities, associations and local organisations, it guarantees high safety standards and environmentally respectful use of the territory.

A central role is played by the Garda Rangers, the operational teams who work daily across the territory through monitoring, maintenance and care interventions.

Their work ensures continuity and quality for the outdoor experience, strengthening the relationship between tourism and the local community while promoting a conscious use of natural resources.

FOOD & WINE
A journey to enhance the flavours of the territory

Food and wine are among the most authentic expressions of Garda Trentino’s identity.

For this reason, we created a dedicated working group involving producers, restaurant operators, consortia, trade associations and institutions, with the aim of building a shared vision and concrete projects.

Through dialogue and collaboration, we work to enhance local products, supply chains and expertise, transforming food and wine into experiences, storytelling opportunities and drivers of territorial development.

An approach that strengthens the quality of the offer, supports the local economy and creates a stronger connection between those who produce, those who cook and those who choose Garda Trentino as their destination.

EVENTS & EXPERIENCES
From the community to the visitor: Garda Trentino to experience together

Events and experiences are designed to transform the territory’s resources into structured, accessible and high-quality opportunities, created not only for visitors to Garda Trentino but also for those who live here every day.

This shared planning process starts from local knowledge and translates it into recognisable, coherent proposals capable of generating value.

Through this approach, we enhance the destination’s strategic assets — nature, outdoor activities, culture, traditions and food & wine — strengthening the territory’s identity and promoting a development model focused on sustainability, balancing experience, community and environment.

A key role is played by the constant dialogue with associations and the volunteer sector: a fundamental network for creating authentic, rooted and participatory initiatives capable of generating positive impact and new opportunities for the territory.

THE ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL IMPACT OF TOURISM IN GARDA TRENTINO

Perché Turismo

Perché Turismo is a reflection and discussion project focused on the role of tourism as a driver of territorial, economic and social development.

The project was created to foster awareness, stimulate dialogue and strengthen the relationship between the destination and the community that experiences it every day.

The initiative was developed in collaboration with TSM – Trentino School of Management and the University of Trento, involving experts, administrations, operators and citizens through moments of discussion, training and listening.

The objective is to share data, tools and perspectives to understand tourism more consciously and support informed decisions for both the present and future of Garda Trentino.
