The variety of fish species, the high quality of the waters and the richness of the surrounding landscapes make Trentino an ideal destination for recreational fishing. Garda Trentino, in particular, with its lakes, rivers and streams, is highly attractive to a niche international market with strong spending power.
Trentino Fishing is a project promoted by Trentino Marketing, local anglers' associations and our Tourism Board. Its aim is to develop the recreational fishing tourism offering and support accommodation providers that wish to offer tailored services for anglers by becoming Fishing Lodges.
What does the project include?
➔ Digital fishing permits available for purchase online, including through widgets integrated into Fishing Lodge websites;
➔ A dedicated portal featuring information on fishing guides, Fishing Lodges and the best fishing spots (trentinofishing.it);
➔ Dedicated printed materials (fishing area maps and brochures covering specific fishing disciplines);
➔ Promotional activities (participation in trade fairs, digital marketing campaigns, dedicated social media channels and sector-specific PR activities);
➔ Mentoring and training opportunities for Fishing Lodges.
Premium Partners can take part in the Trentino Fishing project free of charge. The only requirement is compliance with the participation standards set out in the project guidelines.
Together with the four local anglers' associations (Basso Sarca, Alto Sarca, Ledro and Pescatori Trentini), we are also working to develop additional services for anglers, Fishing Lodges and Outdoor Specialists specialising in fishing:
➔ A map covering all fishing areas within the destination, including information on Fishing Lodges and Outdoor Specialists;
➔ A dedicated section on gardatrentino.it featuring Fishing Lodges and Outdoor Specialists;
➔ Dedicated signage at the main fishing locations.
