The strategic positioning guiding the future of our destination
A successful destination does not happen by chance: it requires a shared identity, integrated planning and a clear governance system in which public and private stakeholders collaborate in a structured way.
With this awareness in mind, starting in August 2020 we launched a participatory process involving trade associations, political representatives and the main stakeholders of the territory.
Supporting us throughout this journey was the Institute of Brand Logic – a spin-off of the University of Innsbruck and an internationally experienced consulting company – which helped us define a new strategic positioning for Garda Trentino.
For a positioning strategy to be effective, it cannot remain merely a declaration of intent: it must be translated into concrete actions, with clearly defined roles, functions and responsibilities.
For this reason, in 2021 — once again with the active involvement of the territory — we developed two fundamental tools:
➔ a participatory governance model, with thematic working groups coordinated by the Garda Trentino Tourism Conference, designed to encourage dialogue and guide development in a shared way;
➔ an operational masterplan, including more than 110 concrete actions, each with clear objectives, defined timelines and dedicated resources.
The summary of this process was publicly presented during the first edition of Garda Tourism Factory.
A good positioning strategy is not a slogan: it is a strategic compass that guides the development of the destination, ensuring consistency between identity, objectives and concrete actions.
For these areas as well, we defined governance models, dedicated masterplans and a shared masterplan for cross-territorial projects.
