The Inverno project was created to increase visitor numbers in Garda Trentino during the winter season and is open to accommodation providers, restaurants and shops that remain open throughout November, December and January.
The initiative promotes an alternative winter holiday focused on the festive atmosphere of Christmas, slow exploration of the area and local food and wine experiences.
At the heart of the project is a varied programme of events, all located within easy reach of one another but each with its own distinct character. These include Santa Claus House and the Grinch House in Riva del Garda for families, the traditional Christmas Market in Arco, the smaller Christmas markets in the villages of Canale and Rango, the Villaggio del Gusto food village in Riva del Garda, Notte degli Alambicchi, Shalom, New Year's Eve celebrations by the lake and many more.
Another strength of Garda Trentino’s winter offering is its Mediterranean climate, which makes it possible to enjoy outdoor sports all year round, particularly hiking, mountain biking and climbing. Ledro Valley and Comano, meanwhile, offer a more alpine atmosphere, with opportunities to enjoy snow-based activities.
